How do you think I feel? I had to go to Tolgus for five years! I'm only now beginning to recover from the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. In case anyone else is similarly affected, there's a new Facebook page entitled the "Tolgus School Survivors Support Club". Here's the link... http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/5600289250/
Hey Steve - over this Easter I discovered the RGS prospectus the year we joined. I'll have a llok through in case there is anything worth adding to the site. I know there is a complete list of all the new influx (us) with our full names...
Hi Droof Days. The "Tolgus School Survivors Support Group" is now a thriving Facebook page with nearly 200 members and as the group's admin I'm currently compiling a 'Tolgus Christmas Quiz'. One of the sections is going to be about Redruth Grammar School. For this purpose I think I've got the basics right (e.g. your uniform included a red & black striped tie, the animal featured on your badge was a lamb, it was carrying a pole with a union flag etc., etc., but may I just clarify one thing... At Tolgus our school day ended at 3.30pm... Am I correct in thinking yours ended at 3.45pm (or am I mistaken..?). Thirty-seven years is a long time and naturally my memory is a little wobbly on this. Your advice would be appreciated. Cheers.
The collective Blog of ex-Redruth Grammar School boys 1972-1979. Come...slip on that old black blazer, knot that red & black striped tie, purchase a sticky bun from Buck's Tuck Shop, sit back and let your mind wander through the dewy mists of time to the glory that was Redruth in the 1970's.

..and mine. The secondary modern architecture left me cold - no soul or character.

Typical Tolgus pupil - I can't even post a link!
Here, try this instead:

Alternatively, please try googling 'Tolgus School Survivors Support Group'.
Incidentally, I hope "Droof Days" doesn't mind, but I've copied the above photo onto the Tolgus school page. (Have given you a brief plug).
Help yourself, we pinched it from someone else anyway!
